How to setup a ranking configuration that can capture fully expanded AI Overview ranking pages and positions

If you want to capture all the ranking pages in AI Overviews (AIOs) then you can now create a configuration which instructs our crawler to click and expand every AI Overview it finds to capture all ranking pages and positions visible and hidden (requiring a user to click and scroll into view).

N/B: Currently only available on ongoing paid subscriptions.

At this stage AIOs are being rolled out worldwide in a slow phased rollout by Google. Whilst you can turn on this feature for any ranking configuration, you will only get extended results if Google is showing AIOs in the language and country selected.

We recommend creating a new ranking configuration that mirrors an existing ranking configuration, as otherwise your ranking positions may change considerably, as we count all generative pages as viable Universal Ranking positions that you can attain which will probably push your organic rankings down.

You must also select a 'TRUE' ranking configuration which captures and counts all SERP features.

This will not work with 'PURE' or 'BLENDED' ranking configurations.
